Product Description
The original was developed by Porsche in the early 1950s as a racing car. It was based on the Porsche 356. Our model corresponds to the original from 1956, called the 550 A. The total weight of the 550 A was only 530 kg. The power output of the 1498 cc engine is stated as 135 hp. In total, Porsche only produced around 100 Spyders.
Our model pays tribute to the legendary young American actor who died in a car accident on September 30, 1955, at the age of just 24. His friend and companion, Rolf Wütherich, survived the accident with serious injuries.
