Product Description
The original was manufactured by BMW between September 1973 and November 1974 in a limited edition of only 1,672 units. This small number was due to the first oil crisis. The fuel consumption, the aggressive design of the body, and the high price of DM 20,780 were not in line with the times. BMW initially offered the 2002 turbo only in Chamonix White and Polarois Silver. In the second year of production, the colors Inca Orange, Verona Red, Taiga Green Metallic, and Black were added. Not a single model was delivered to the USA.
