Product Description
aithful replica of a Ford Capri RS2600 that took part in the Olympia Rally 72. Ford wanted to repeat the success of the Ford Mustang in the USA with the Capri in Europe. In 1970, the Capri was offered for the first time with a 2.6-liter 6-cylinder engine in addition to sporty equipment as the RS2600.
The Bauer model of a Ford Capri RS2600 is an exact replica of the rally car that took part in the 1972 Olympia Rally. The car was prepared by tuner KLEINT RACING. At the wheel was a previously unknown 24-year-old driver who made his first big impression in this rally: Walter Röhrl. The race organizers initially questioned the measurement results. Warter was astonishingly fast in the Ford Capri. Unfortunately, he did not finish the race.
The models now being produced are no different from the models manufactured in the past. The drive and bodywork, which comes from remaining stock, are identical.
